walkingshadow: nihilistic thumbs up!! (till finally there is nothing left)

I was just about to change my mind and recommend you.

It's pretty easy to tell how many people get their internet time in at work, because livejournal dies over the weekend. Or possibly you all have lives. Er.

I've gathered everyone's wishlists here, including my own. If you made one but I don't have it, could you link me to it? I absolutely love this meme. The best wishlists are the ones with wishes I can grant.

My sociolinguistics paper is done, and as soon as I brush my teeth and put in my contacts, I will traipse on down to Turlington, brave the fourth floor, and turn it in. Question to self for a rainy day: it took two hours, between 3:30 and 5:30 this morning, to knock this thing out: was there no other two-hour period that would have done just as well? ZZZzzzzzz. That and I'm sick, which I was just resigned to, as S. has been staggering around dying this past week. I'm not in quite as bad shape, and I feel much better today than yesteday. This will still make writing the seminar paper tonight SO MUCH MORE FUN than it would have been otherwise. Which was A LOT, believe me. I was in sick-panic mode about the paper until a couple of days ago, but thankfully I've crossed into detached and airy "whatever!" mode. Does anyone have special all-nighter music you listen to whenever you're feverishly working on papers or cramming for exams, or is that a mix that changes for you with the project and the times?

The daytime high today is 71 degrees, about what it is outside right now; it's going down to 38 tonight. The tree just outside my window has gone dull gold and amber, which S. and I swear happened OVERNIGHT, spontaneous hibernation. Florida. Where fall comes . . . nowish. Or not. There are also palm trees across the street.

I'm loving the wishlists as well, and have been bookmarking and responding as much as possible. It's also giving me a chance to try out all kinds of new projects! :-D

Here's mine:

Ah, thanks for the link! I definitely missed it the first time through, and I believe you've got things I can do, whoo! I'll take another look when I'm not desperate with paper-writing and get your address and the like.
