This is a rumor started by people I've fallen over.
I'm not going to draw, but if you comment here I will make you an icon inspired by one or more of your livejournal interests.
Sent out the bibliography at like four-thirty this morning. The accordion effect of papers citing papers is both fascinating and a little frightening. Already there were signs of redundancy though, a hint that the existing literature is still quite limited. It seems most limited when it comes to the language of blogs (a google search turns up lots of linguistics blogs, but no linguistics articles about blogs). If anyone knows of any good conversations or analyses about blogging language or habits, in any field and from any source, let me know about it?
History in a few minutes, for which I should put on clothes and brush my teeth and wash my face. Still? No paper topic.

(I have been known to foist icons on people unsolicited, so believe me when I say all comers are welcome!)

...oh honey, feel free to foist icons my direction at any time. I'm a total icon whore. =D

*makes note of amenability to foisting* Doing this meme was actually a great ideaI'm making icons that aren't the icons I always make.
serendipitous = my favorite word, ever. <3
It IS nice when you have new and fresh prompts, isn't it?
it's an awfully good word, isn't it?

was it good for you? as good as my NEW ICON?! baby, it's fantastic, and i <3 it (almost as much as i <3 you!). thanks ever so kindly.
I didn't know you were called Dennis
OMG with the loveliness of the poster!!! (I know I already squeed about it on the phone, but *SQUEEE* i heart it)
I would gladly give up one of my three free icon spaces for a chunk of your fabulousness! pretty please? come on, you know you want to....(and I have such an interesting selection of interests to choose from!)
Ok, I have decided that if I type anymore and lose it I will be very sad indeed, so just remember, you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you.
p.s. am I the only one amused by livejournal's really funny suggestions during spell check? yeah, I thought I would be...

Thank you so, so much for squeeing over the poster. Seriously, it means a lot to me. *beams*
Okay, so I went looking for pictures to icon for you, and I found this news story about this Scrabble convention in England where in honor of Scrabble's 50th Anniversary, they played a Scrabble match on a SOCCER FIELD with HUGE SCRABBLE TILES the size of DINNER TABLES. So.
I have a bunch of Florida icons I could have made for you, but they all came from gettyimages.com and considering the pictures you take, it felt an awful lot like bringing coals to Newcastle (and finding that not only do they have more coal than you, they've got diamonds).
P.S. We're all Britons! and I am your King!

It is absolutely fabulous! I have big plans for the weekend! I will make you an icon (eventually...)
P.S. I just got the 2-disc special edition of Monty Python and the Holy Grail! We must watch it the next time we are in the same county. The second disc has the whole movie in Japanese and in LEGO form....hehehe, I'm getting nothing done this weekend!

I only just now got this comment in my mailbox! I do not know where it has been, oh little lost comment email, but I am so very glad it found its way home. !!! I love all your icons, but I especially love your use of color and interesting text/font choices. Lucky, lucky me that the icon you made for me (!!) features both. It's lovely, and I promptly resolve to use it often, frequently, and maybe even repetitiously.
(Thank you, in other words. :)
