Tidied up my room today and feel enormously better. Cased and sleeved the CDs, swept the receipts off the surfaces and usually trashed them, shelved the books, and cleared the desk and dresser of cold medicine, to-do lists, and dishes. I get so anxious when everything's haphazard and overflowing, but I get up in the morning and I go to sleep at night, and it all just creeps up on me.

My first thought when I realized the research paper was a GO was "I should make an lj for it!" And, um. I did. Of course. *facepalm* It's proving convenient for storing examples and my master list of sources and links to bibliographic materials. I've got SIX SOURCES so far omg. Somebody told me there would be no hockey AU for me until I ate my vegetables got some work done, so I have been WORKING. I'm just as surprised as you are.

Also, I've just spotted the current-playlist meme, which is close enough to the guess-the-lyrics meme that I'm tossing it out there again. Whoo! The first thirty tracks iTunes spewed out when set to shuffle, skipping over instrumentals, repeated artists, and the song that was in Turkish. Googling is still cheating. Have at it!

I respond really, reeeaally well to rewards. Pokey sticks tend to get my back up, but I am all about the bribery! I was like, she said I couldn't read the hockey AU. There's hockey AU out there! And I don't even *like* hockey! That is an EXCELLENT list of rewards.

I've never had much of an opinion about James, one way or another (besides reading about him in threesomes with Sirius and Remus - mmmm), but in this story? <3 James so much , oh-em-*fucking*gee. I think it has something to do with the fact that anyone who loves Sirius that much is all right by me, but still. Brothers! <3!

These were so. good. So good! I want to know what "kailash" means, and that ending, mmph. And the beginning and the middle. So much fantastic detail. Draco coming into his Veela heritage was hilarious. The names! And then the sex! But mostly with the funny.

I like James, generally; he comes off pretty well in fic. There was that story you recced me a while back that was very like this one, a four-parter from James's POV before and after TEH TRICK, and that's pretty much my James. And Pru's James is my James. But this story was amazing. I'm your brother. Me. Eep! Every time I read a story where Sirius runs away from home I say, this is how it happened. But oh, Peter saying James was jealous, and James wondering why they were friends with him, and oh. I want to throw popcorn at the book and shout at them not to go in there.
