Oh, man. I got ambushed coming out of lecture. There are always groups and clubs tableing in Turlington Plaza, but student elections are being held this week, and the candidates are more agressive than the usual recruiters. (Poli Sci majors who are more aggressive than the average student? Color me surprised. Make it a mauve.) I thought I'd made it past them, but I was waylaid by Joel of the S.W.A.M.P. party who was very pleasant and about two feet taller than me, so I was staring into the sun for the length of our little chat. He misheard my name as "Melanie" and kept calling me that, which filled me with mirth, so I didn't correct him. Ah, the adventures of the easily amused.

isn't it interesting how once we get to college, "tableing" is now a verb?

Hee! I know; and these guys weren't even tableing so much as stalking, ready to pounce on the next hapless passer-by and chirp at him until he promised to vote for everything they were running for.
