So I made the drive back to Gainesville in a little less time than technically sanctioned by the posted speed limit. Sorry about that.
The drive was actually the easy part of the day. I feel like I haven't stopped moving since I got back into town: left the car in front of Rawlings, took a couple of trips to bring everything into the room; drove out to Publix, wandered and deliberated and bought; back to the dorm to unload. I rushed around putting away the perishables and at least some of the clothes that I could just hear wrinkling, before I ran out again to my brother's apartment, where he was grilling dinner for me and his girlfriend and his friend down from Duke. I got in and collapsed on his beanbag chair. The best of the Indiana Jones trilogy, The Last Crusade, was on for adventurous and only occasionally snarky fun. Hot dogs and hamburgers were eaten, and we watched the 9/11 special on CBS. I ended up with burning eyes and a headache by the end of the night. Came home to my complete mess of a room and finished unpacking everything. Started feeling human again. But like a really, really tired human. Here's to class that doesn't start until 11:45 tomorrow morning.
